Popular Doncaster town centre pub to close down for overhaul
Biscuit Billy's, on Silver Street, will shut its doors on March 6 for refurbishment to the bar's interior.
A post on the pub's Facebook page said: "We will be closing for refurbishment on March 6. In the meantime we apologise for the current work happening at Billy's."

Hide AdThe pub, officially known as The St Leger Tavern, celebrated its 200th birthday in 2014.
A pub has stood on the site since 1814 when it was a traditional tavern.
It was originally called the Three Jolly Blacksmiths and was renamed the St Leger Tavern in 1838.
And it acquired its popular name through one of the pub’s longest serving landlords.

Hide AdThe Biscuit Billy's moniker from landlord William Wills who also had a stall on Doncaster Market selling biscuits. He was refereed to as Biscuit Billy and pretty soon customers were saying ‘are we off to Biscuit Billy’s?’ and the name stuck.
