Police have launched an investigation after a man’s body was found at the bottom of a viaduct in Doncaster.

Officers received a call shortly before 11am today after reports that a body had been found at Conisbrough Viaduct.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said that officers had attended the scene at 10.58am this morning and recovered the body of a man.

Enquiries into the death are currently on-going.

The disused railway viaduct closed in the 1960s and is now a walking and cycle route crossing the River Don.
