Medical emergency in Doncaster town centre

Paramedics were called out to Doncaster town centre this afternoon following a '˜medical emergency'.

Buses were diverted from Wood Street at around 1.05pm following the incident.

A Yorkshire Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at 12.49pm to a medical emergency in the street. We sent a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance and we took a patient to Doncaster Royal Infirmary.”

A spokesman for First buses confirmed buses are now operating as normal.
