Our pictures show normally bustling streets and shops with just a handful of shoppers on day one of the Government’s 28 day lockdown which came into force at midnight.
Non essential shops, pubs and restaurants are all shut with a ban on household mixing also in place until December 2 in a bid to drive down the town’s spiralling coronavirus rates.
Our photographer captured the scenes in Doncaster town centre this morning.
