Man charged with carrying bladed weapon in Hexthorpe

A 29-year-old man has been charged with assault, affray and possession of an offensive weapon following an incident in Hexthorpe on Tuesday.

Denis Rusy, of Spansyke Street, Hexthorpe, appeared before Doncaster Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Thursday April 28) and was bailed to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on Thursday May 26.

One of his bail conditions is not to enter Doncaster.

At around 8.40am on Tuesday armed police were called to reports a man was in Spansyke Street, with a bladed weapon.
