Two arrests were made in a knife arch operation in Doncaster town centre.

Officers from South Yorkshire Police worked with British Transport Police to mount the operation on Friday, December 13.

A total of 30 members of the public were searched after walking through the scanner and two arrests were made.

The operation forms part of a police crackdown on knife crime in a bid to save lives.
