Hide AdDaniel Smith, BDYE managing director, said: “Kings Lodge will offer a fantastic location for people at all stages of the property ladder to call home.”
As part of the plans, the firm will put more than £835,000 towards education, highways and transport in the area – having already contributed £2.8 million towards community infrastructure and £7m towards highway and environmental improvements, affordable homes and community facilities last year.
Mr Smith said: “Kings Lodge gives us a great opportunity to commit significant levels of funding to vital local amenities.
“Last year saw us make a real difference to a number of the communities in which we build and we’re eager to continue this momentum as work progresses at Kings Lodge.”

The government’s Help to Buy scheme will also be available on selected properties at the development, priced under the regional cap of £228,100.
The scheme allows first-time buyers to secure an equity loan from the government of up to 20 per cent of the purchase price of their home, allowing them to buy their new home with as little as a five per cent deposit and a 75 per cent mortgage.
