Hide AdRossington HWRC remains closed until further notice due to essential drainage works being carried out.
There are significant restrictions in place to protect staff and residents from any potential risk of Covid-19.
Residents are urged in the strongest sense to stay away unless their visit is essential.
Alternatives to visiting the sites include composting or storing store garden waste at home if possible, but if the waste is beginning to smell, this can be brought to the sites but only where essential.

Cllr Chris McGuinness, Cabinet Member of the Environment said: “I’m sure many people will be relieved to see that the HWRCs are reopening following earlier health and safety issues related to Covid-19. This does not mean that people should rush to them in an instant though.
“We understand the need to dispose of unhygienic waste, particularly during the current period of isolation where people are spending significantly more time at home.
“However – and I must stress this point emphatically - it is absolutely vital that social distancing measures are in place and adhered to in order to protect staff and residents from the risk of Covid-19.”
