Latest government figures reveal number of new Covid-19 cases has decreased in Doncaster

Doncaster recorded six new positive Covid-19 cases in the seven days up until August 2, compared to the week ending July 26, where government figures found that 10 new people had contracted the virus.
The town’s rate of new coronavirus cases has fallen from 3.2 per 100,000 people in the seven days up to July 26, to 1.9 cases recorded on the week ending August 2 – according to information published by Public Health England on the government’s coronavirus online dashboard.

Hide AdIn South Yorkshire, Sheffield also documented a reduction in the number of new people testing positive for coronavirus, with the rate falling from 17.1 per 100,000 people to 13.3 in the most recent recording.
A total of 78 people have contracted Covid-19 in Sheffield in the seven days up until August 2, compared to 100 positive cases in the previous week.
The number new Covid-19 cases has increased in Rotherham with 31 people testing positive for the virus in the week ending August 2.
The town now has a rate of 11.7 new coronavirus cases per 100,000 people – an increase from the 11.3 case rate recorded in the previous week.
